I really would like one or the other.
I will probably get the E2O, but I cannot try one before buying. The regular E2 that I tried was pretty nice, and actually sat clipped inside my jeans-pocket well.

I THINK I will prefer it (E2O) to the standard E2 because I believe 25 lumens will be fine--with nice bat life, and the longer clip might be better.

Any additional comments or suggestions? (I have already read a TON of posts on the E2O)

Thanks,
Bob

Having been a blackout survivor here in NYC i have developed a natural tendency to think runtime. So in my opinion I would go with the E2O. I find the shorter surefire clips to be better than the long ones though, it feels more secure, tighter grip. But having quickly retired from the world of M*glites, i think either e2e or e2o is a good choice.

I recommend you make your choice based on which pocket clip you prefer. It's easy to change lamps and you should have a spare lamp anyway.

Both are great lights, but the E is much brighter. Get a spares carrier and an MN03 for the O and be happy.

I carry a 2 stage 3w LED for runtimes (we're talking days on the low setting) and an incandescent, such as my PM6 when more brightness is needed. When my E2E comes I will likely EDC both the E2E and the LED light (same size).

At $15~ for the bulb, it shouldnt be a tough decision. You will likely get more use out of a lower power longer burning light, though. I know I do.

The only real difference between the two is the clip, and the markings on the side. Base your decision on the clip, not the lamp. The two lamps are interchangeable between the two, so if you buy one, you really have bought both.

the clips are removable and interchangeable, but changing the clips is more troublesome than swapping the lamp assemblies /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My vote is for the E2O with a Z57 clickie. I prefer the longer clip on all my SF lights, though I have to take it off and bend it a little to make it as tight as I like. Remove the head, the o-ring, then use a string to pull the clip off (be careful how you pull it because the plastic spacer below it might go flying!). Then bend the clip with a pair of pliers. Replace everthing and you have a long, sturdy, tight clip. If you aren't happy with the longer clip, e-mail SF and they'll probably send you the shorter one for free.
I prefer the MNO2 as well for the longer run time because I don't use it for tactical applications.
The clickie works great if you can find one for it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

FYI, oldgrandpajack is selling an E2E with your choice of tail cap, stock, or Z57 clickie for $76.95 shipped, in the B/S/T. I bought one from him yesterday with the Z57.
