As you all know, I recently received an E2E back from a frenemy who used the light for about a year. While replacing the mn03 lamp assembly, I noticed that 3 of the threads at the front of the body have what appear to be the tiniest of machining flaws. The threads are somewhat flattened out at about a 10 oclock angle from the pocket clip. Is this common and nothing to be worried about with Surefire?

I musta missed that purchase of yours :D

But the the threads are machined flatter where the pocket clip is so it can easily slide in and out. Not sure if that is what you are describing but that's my two cents.

Maybe a picture of it?

With mine its odd because the threads don't seem to have that flat spot, the'yre ridged all the yway around..But I think my fellow southern compadre makes a good point. The imperfection is so small I couldn't get it to show up on my iphone camera. It doesn't seem to cause any problem, so I'll forget about it.
