Anyone know what's the standby current draw to deplete the ea4 battery in years during soft lock out or no lockout mode. because hard lock out with tail cap is almost impossible unless totally unscrew the tailcap.

selfbuild tested d40a takes 20years and gx25a3 takes 3years to deplete the batteries, which I think is very nice result.

It must be quite high because mine drained a brand new set of lithium within 6 months... I had the same result with the 1 x AA Pioneer ( I forgot the exact name of that light...). I suspect their blinky-find-me led system to be quite hungry...

I didn't drain my EA4, but the battery was about half dead after just 2 weeks or so. Not good. But I believe that was on my older model and it has recently been improved.

When NOT locked out, the old model's blue button flash was about on for 1 second and off for 2 seconds. The new model just blinks almost like a strobe ever 1-2 seconds.
