ecan + esink question...

I have an esink and an ecan that I'm about to assemble with a BB500 circuit board to go into a bored out E1e bezel. Okay, now for the question:

After connecting the ground wire from the BB500 to the ecan, the + and - leads to the appropriate ends of the emitter from the board, do I have to make sure that the esink (placed atop the ecan) is isolated (electrically?) from the ecan? The esink is anodized, if that makes any difference...

Projects like these can be dangerous in unskilled hands such as mine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
