Well I love my new phone it is a HTC Touch Pro. It comes with a camera and an LED flash. Here is a link to the phone. http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchpro/specification.html
BUT with a nice little program I now have a very nice low lumen night light. This LED does not have any difference in the spot or spill it just has a very nice even illumination with a defined area that is lit up more than just using your cell phone screen but not so bright as to cause night blindness. Because the LED is on the opposite side of the phone you don't get any light coming back at you. Here is the link to the nifty program. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=440405 I have put this on one of my quick buttons so all I have to do is hold down the button for 2 seconds and bam I've got light...no menu system to fiddle with at night.
