EDC - small pocketable under $100

My only light is a Preon 0. It's not very bright but for what it is it does a nice job, especially like the magnet.

I would like a more capable edc light. Considering a QTC Peak Eiger AAA from Oveready if they would ever get back to me regarding the momentary switches which are out of stock.

Any comments on what kind of head I should use (standard head or mule head)? What's best for EDC?

If you guys know of anything else I should look into please share it.
