Just got a new Eiger #8 SS. I ordered a narrow... I believe I was sent a medium.

Can anyone post pics of both the narrow and medium for ID purposes?

The one I received appears to be a diffuser optic, and bears no resemblance to my El Cap narrow.

I may keep it, just want to know what I have here.

Here you go (narrow optic, level 4 power):

Rather than the optic, the beam profile will mostly tell you whether its a medium or narrow. This thread has beam-shots for Peak lights - the long shots at 13 ft. distinguish the med and narrow pretty well.

I have an older Rebel Eiger with the medium optic. It's window has a texture on it. Look at MWClint's avatar for exactly what mine looks like. I thought the narrow like Choombak's above...?

Take care,
MK

I'm convinced it's a medium, but now I can't part with it.

Peak lights are just like that... LOL.

I jiust got an older rebel Eiger with textured optic. How can I tell if it's medium or narrow beam? It has a very square spot (or smooth flood/wall) with barely any spill.

that sounds like my rebel medium optic

I don't have a rebel, but my XP-G has to be pretty close to a wall to get much of a spot. Mostly just a nice, even spill beam.
