I live in florida & i'm looking for a waterproof led light that can be used for inclimate weather, power outages, etc. Must also run for very long periods of time. I read that the Princeton Tec Attitude uses four aaa batteries, is waterproof & is good for about 150 hours. Are there other lights similar or better than the above? I want a turn on & go light, no programmable lights.

I don't know about you but in my neck of the woods, AAs are far more common than AAAs (but it's not difficult to find AAAs).
If you're going to use it as an emergency light, I'd pay a little more to get something that is a little more heavy duty (you do pay for what you get).
The Fenix LD series comes to mind for reliability and best bang for your buck. They're waterproof and they run off AA/AAA batteries (depending on model). The battery life on these is fantastic too (I've been using my LD20 for years now on Eneloops with no problems).

Since your asking about lights that are waterproof and simple on and off models, I would suggest you look at Streamlight, Pelican, Underwater Knetics and Princeton Tec. They may not be the latest, greatest, brightest but they are waterproof and even dive rated lights. One thing that I think would be very improtant for this type of flashlight use is to use Energizer Lithium batteries while storing them. These batteries have a very long storage life and won't harm your lights. Good luck.
