Emitters: Are They Binned?

Do bare Luxeon III emitters carry bin codes, or only stars? I'll probably DD future projects, and I want to avoid spending more for stars unless it gets me somewhere. Thanks.

They are binned but you need to get it from a reputable source to make sure the said bin is in fact the real bin number found on the label of the reel.

Hmm. Quandary.
No online stores I know of will kick a handful
of binned luxIII in my direction. I haven't been here in a while. Any CPFers doing this? If so, are people happy w/ what they're getting?
