I would'nt hold my breath on this one, I ask the ? some time ago and no one had the info, the only thing I could find they are made in canada I believe they come from power drill power pack. I ended up throwing my out did'nt wont to take a chance charging on my BC6 since no one new what type of battery they are.

Hello DocD,

Emoli doesn't sell cells to individuals. You can only find them in power tool battery packs, or you can get them from someone who has stripped them from a power tool battery pack.

They don't even send out cells for evaluation. I have tried, several times.

You may want to PM LuxLuthor. He may know who has some. If that doesn't work out, check out some of the RC forums.

back from berlin :twothumbs many thanks for your help and post's.
Had great fun in a old NSA listening post, on the only mountain in berlin once again many thanks DocD

DocD, I got mine from Jim. You could get your own from the Milwaukee powerpacks, but Jim has already taken the tabs off, tested them, charged them.....in short, he has done all the work for us. All we have to do is put them in our new flashlight. Very simple.

I would recommend from experience that you only get them from new, sealed drill packs, and spend the time yourself taking them apart...or get them from someone who will verify they were new, and will stand behind them for a reasonable time. There are a number of old, abused packs being sold cheap on EBay, and you cannot verify their condition once separated and sold as individual cells. I threw away the used ones I got previously, after verifying their poor condition, two of which leaked.

What leaks out of bad emolis, and from where the +'ve end?

As I understand it that are 'safe(r)' that Li-ion cells, so I'd take a chance on charging them...more so than buying second hand Li-ion cells from BST, and charging them.

The two that leaked electrolyte had physically damaged cans, one leaked on bottom (negative end) where lead was ripped off. There were globs of solder on both ends of 4 cells. Some of it was covering the damaged (hole) on bottom of can. The other had been dented on top side (? Vise ?) where lid was attached on can body. I suspect the cells had been over discharged because two others did not hold acceptable voltage on charging. I threw them all away and learned my lesson. Other than the leaking cells, it wasn't safety I was worried about...it was their abused condition on arrival.
