I have the regular (4) battery charger that comes with the eneloop set. Can I charge just one battery at a time or must they be charged in pairs or (3) batteries instead of (4)? I guess what I am asking is, can you charge odd numbers of batteries at the same time or will it hurt the battery/charger?

Thanks,

Dan

Thanks for correcting me....i did'nt know that. The one that i have you can charge one cell at a time if you wish, mines model number nc-mqn05u.

So it is. The MQN06 has worldwide voltage but can only charge in pairs. The MQN05 can charge batteries individually but does not have worldwide voltage.

I use the Duracell CEF23DX4N 'Mobile Charger'. It's AC/DC operation, 4 independent charge slots, charges USB devices (either plugged in or using 4 AA's still in the slots), automatic charge shut-off, and really portable. It's a nice little charger for the money and will work just fine with eneloops.

Cheers !

Thank you for the advice! I bought the CEF23DX4N and it's just what I wanted, perfect. The batteries that came with it are rebranded eneloops made in Japan and there was a $3.00 instant rebate on the package. :twothumbs

What is the model number of the Eneloop charger that will charge each cell separately?

EDIT: Rephrase: is there a four-cell Eneloop charger that will charge each cell separately?

Yeah, I saw that. When I did a search for the part number, it didn't come up with anything.

Of course, Amazon isn't the only store on the Internet, so...
