I just noticed that the Eneloop USA product page now states that an alternate power pack and their (to me) quite elegant USB charger are now available at SkyMall:

The product page also contains direct links labelled 'Buy Now' to both the power pack and the USB charger pages at SkyMall.
The power pack differs significantly from the one sold at Costco in that it contains the model MDR02 two position quick charger rather than the model MQN05 four position charger, four rather than eight AA cells, and two rather than four AAA cells.
It is also more expensive than the Costco offering, but for those in the USA who don't have access to a Costco, SkyMall does deliver.
Sadly, the SkyMall pages for both products also clearly state that neither can be exported.
