Greetings Everyone

I have several old 8AA Energizer Double Barrel flashlights. I am in the process of modding these lights, changing them from 4s/2p to 8s, and swapping out the plastic lens and reflectors with something more heat resistant.

For those of you familiar with these flashlights, you are probably aware that one of the problems was the plastic endcap on the battery tubes. The fit is poor, and the plastic caps are readily cross-threaded and they can become unusable. I was thinking that I could easily replace these with some brass fittings from Home Depot. Unfortunately, these threads do not appear to be standard, so I am not sure where to go from here.

Does anyone know the thread specs for the endcaps on these flashlights?

Cheers,
Battery Guy

I don't have one. Usually the pitch (threads per inch) are standard sizes and the major diameter (diameter of the male thread) is whatever it needs to be. It is a simple matter to calculate all the parameters for both parts and make matching threads on a lathe. You need to supply the major diameter and pitch or provide the part for fitting. It might turn out easier to just make a new battery holder.
