Hi,I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of led energizer is using for their newest hardcase professional series of flashlights?
It looks like it's the same size as a xp-g,both in chip and die size, but it has a golden coloured base, and the led has a perforated look to it rather than a grid, and the dome is clear.
The thing looks like a cree to me,but one I can't identify.
The flashlight model is the Energizer hardcase professional 2AA task light,or tuff2aap.
I can only find info on the 3xnichia version of this light,so I havn't been able to place the led.

A photo would help immensely...

I've seen hardcase lights with rebel emitters. Maybe it's one of those.

This is an old thread. Energizer HardCase lights seem to be forever changing their emitters and ratings while keeping the same outward appearance.

I am pleasantly surprised by the output of this 250/30 lumen dual mode 2AA Energizer HardCase light I picked up for $10.88 on clearance at the local Farm and Fleet store. The other HardCase lights I've seen have much lower output ratings. The tint isn't too bad, with perhaps a hint of green. The mode order is high, low, off, and the flashlight tail stands.

A fine budget lite imo.
Good wide beam with a good 100' throw. Not good for scuba diving, but will fall off a 6' ladder onto a floor and still light.
Not my favorite budget light far as sexy factor...but one I'll probably use a lot once my fetish with focusable lights settles down.

Reviews say the switch sux. But I haven't had that happen. They are 'try me' types at the store. So maybe folks having trouble are buying the one in front...always, always, always buy the 3rd one back (or further).

^^ about 100' away.
