I just ordered a eternal light in the EliteMax configuration. My primary purpose for buying this light was for a survial kit because of its long run time and SOS/stobe features. I never thought about it before, but this kills two birds with one stone. The incredible burn time on lower power settings is a big plus also and being able to use lithiums is a must. All OK so far.

My concern is with the lights long term reliability will all those electronics inside. Do anyone have real time knowledge on the lights durability, failure rate, and how it reacts in extreme cold temps? I live in cold country and I'm always worried about how things will perform at 20 below or so. Obvouisly one can warm up the button before using, but anyone know how the cold effects the internals? Do these thing malfunction ofter? If they do malfunction, will they still at least light up? Many thanks.

Congrats though. Did you check google, or that website link I posted in last nights thread? It had a lot of info on the durability. I'm just not sure of cold weather factor though.
