Everled = Everbroke

I don't post much anymore but I thought I'd share this bit of information. A few years ago, I purchased an Everled bulb for emergency use. I put it in a Mag 6C and left it alone except for swapping the batteries out twice a year. During the Ike recovery, with less than 90 minutes total use, the Everled burnt out. Now, I've not had the best of luck with LED reliability but the cost of this bulb (around 40 or so) compels me to share this with CPF in case anyone does a search on this particular bulb. What made this extremely tough is that it went out at the worse possible time.

Ironically, the light that saved my hide was the first led I ever bought, my original Infinity Ultra, so thumbs up on the Infinity and thumbs down on the
Everled.

I recommend you send your story to EverLED. Here's the link. Do you still have the bulb? The EverLED PR base is the most expensive drop-in bulb I know of... that just should not happen, and the company needs to know about it. Maybe they'll do the right thing and send you a replacement.

WOW, you guys got hit hard... I feel bad for you all. My son works for State Farm and said it's hard to imagine the devastation. Sorry for you guys! Hope you can dig out soon.
