I ordered something from Adorama about 45 days ago because it was $10 cheaper than another place. It had to be backordered and there was no estimate of how long it would take when I ordered, but I later received an email saying "most backordered items ship within 10 - 14 days." Shortly after my order, I checked the product page and the product was in stock, but for $10 more. Several days later it was out of stock again. My theory is that the shipment they got right after my order went to people who were waiting longer than me, and they chose to make me wait so they could sell a few at the $10 higher price. Now my theory is that they're waiting to accumulate enough orders to qualify for a discount and they didn't even order more from the supplier yet.
