Explain to me?

Okay, From my readings on CPF I understand that white LED's don't output much, if any, infrared light. So I'm wondering why on the Surefire L4 page they are marketing the F03 Infrared Filter as an accessory. Is my understanding of white LED's and infrared askew, or did a marketing guy put together the page?

I think somebody was an egg roll short of a poo poo platter if they thought an IR filter would be any good with an L4.

IR filters ought to work great for an incandescent, but very, very poorly for a visible color or UV LED.

yeah, the one thing LED's don't emit is heat from their beam. Heat from the beam is infared energy.
