Extremely bad news about Rob Simonich Knifemaker

I just found out that Rob Simonich, had passed away yesterday in a car accident, coming home from a hunting trip, I couldnt believe it. I am in tears now thinking about this, he was a great man, and a friend of many, I never had the pleasure of owning one of his knives, but have always heard great things about them. There are threads located at knifeforums, and bladeforums, about this, I am extremely upset, I will keep Rob, and his family in my prayers. And I hope you all will do the same, thank you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

Deeply saddened -- it is with a heavy heart that I give my sincere condolences to his loved ones.

I've never had the honor to meet this man as I am a newbie to the knife world, but I have EDC'ed his Talonite Bitterroot for a little bit now, and truly had hoped to meet this artisan at a show one day.

Again, my condolences.

I just learned of the tragic news on USN, and I am completely floored. His family, the entire knife community and our Armed Forces community of which he was a tireless supporter, are at a tremendous loss for his passing.

Although not personally aquainted, aside from seeing him at a shows, I recognize that we have lost an innovator and brilliant knifemaker and I pray for his family and close friends.

Met him at a SHOT show a few years ago. Pleasant fellow. Went to the sandbox recently. Carried a custom Talonite Talon. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

It will be difficult to never again see that distinctive black cowboy hat at the knife shows anymore. Mr. Simonich will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
