FAO: UK readers - Duraloops in Asda

Duraloops are in Asda!

I checked the packet carefully and they are the white topped cells, made in Japan, 2000mAh so I am sure they are the rebranded Eneloops. They were listed as £11.73 for 4.

I took a couple of snaps if others want to verify, but they looked like the genuine ones in other threads. Please let me know if you want me to post pics as I'll need to get them off the phone. ;)

You can get 4 AA Eneloop from 7DayShop for £6.65 including shipping. :party:

Mine are fine and the runtimes are comparable to Panasonic Infiniums from the same shop. And as one posters (march.brown ?) says, GP recyko may be even cheaper and comparable.

OK, subtract 17.5% VAT and that's £9.98. Convert to dollars and that is $16 before tax. Which is about the normal US price for those cells unless you find a special deal. Not a bargain, but not a rip-off either. Probably helpful for people to know about.

If that's the normal US price, it's probably better value than I expected. Main advantage - no delivery charges if you can find then in a supermarket when you do your weekly shopping. ;)

I can't verify they are genuine Duraloops though, as the only batteries I've bought from them were for our cordless telephone.
