Fenix Adapter for a Maglite

I've had this idea since mid last year that would combine the multiple output levels of my L1D with the D cells of my 2D maglite. I've put something together that works fine, but I want something that's more refined and more stable. I don't have the tools to required, so, I ask you guys with the tools and knowledge of them for your help. The picture bellow is my poorly draw idea.

Essentially, you are looking for an adapter that screws into the MAG bulb socket.

There's no reason that it can't be done. You won't get any heat sinking to speak of, but that's a problem that's common to many MAG drop-ins.

Your plan looks just fine to me.

I understand that there will be little heatsinking to speak of, but I'm fine with that. My main concern is that this will be a very long running, multiple output light.
