Fenix HP20 Head Dissasembly?

Have any of you modders ever dis-assembled a HP20 head?

A friend of mine has commented that the wire going into the head housing seems to have a loose connection. We wondered if it were possible to get inside and apply a little solder? Light is out of warranty, and he doesn't really want to return to Fenix as he needs to light for an up-coming night walk....

I haven't seen it myself but my mate tells me that if he moves the wire one way, the light goes out.

Just wanting to help the guy out....

I don't think that it's a wire going to the head, I've already fixed two HP20 and in both cases the problem was just at the cable entry to the barterypack.

Even if the headlamp has been out of the warranty, you could still get help from Fenix. Send email to them describing the problem.
