I just wanted to write something... LOL
I got my Fenix MC10 almost before 1 year. I liked it, loved it and everything.It was my first AA LED flashlight. I was impressed what I can get from single AA battery. Soon I discovered think what I don't like. It was making weird sound (Mostly on medium mode), also I couldn't tell difference between medium and high mode. I was reading about that on CPF and taught that batteries what I use is craps. Then I tried a lot of different batteries and nothing ever changed. And run times was much worse than advertised. I still loved this flashlight...
Before few days I got DeoxIT and DeoxIT GOLD because I had problems with my Nitecore EZ CR2 contacts (I got bit water inside tube) and everything was dirty. ( I was able to see that with naked eye) Later I was thinking that I should clean my MC10 too, although everything seemed clean.
I cleaned, putted battery inside and I was impressed!!! First of all I was able to see difference between medium and high mode. Then I noticed that my MC10 is not making that weird sound anymore. WOW DeoxIT makes miracles.
I've heard on CPF that people complain about sound what MC10 sometimes makes...
So I think this is solution and should work for everyone. MC10 need really, really clean contacts to work properly. Now I rediscovered my MC10. Thanks Fenix because this is awesome flashlight and I won it in their campaign.
Ohh and about battery life... I guess bad contacts makes flashlight drain battery faster. I made video to make you understand what I'm talking about :P
