Ffieldtrip.... Surefire and McCulloch

Tommorrow is the big day... finally my chance to meet the master PK (missed him at Shot 2002).

And, as an added bonus, a side trip to McCulloch to view their new 990 HID, "pro-sumer" light.

So, if you guys have questions to be asked, now is the time

Could you ask Sir Paul for the approximate release dates of the Beast and M6 HID? Would you also ask him if there are any customized SF lights available for purchase?

The delivery dates for all the new products is questtion #7 on my list of ....


M6HID will not be for a while. I understand that while the Welch Allyn 10W bulb is good, the ballast that UK uses on the Light Cannon is terribly ineffecient. What this means is that SF has to design a ballast for the M6 (something much more effecient that UK's at least) and pk said it's on the list, but who know when. Also, pk noted that things are changing very rapidly in the minature hid market, so SF may take a wait and see position...

I know what you mean.. I could probably take 3-4 hours of pk's time with my list of questions... but I do not want to over do my welcome, so I pared down my list to fit within a 20-25 minutes interview. Of course, if he has the time....

Is PK someone with the persona of an annoyed Tiger ?
Or is he truly a *normal* guy, approachable, though with the genius of an Einstein ?

I've noticed some new info you've posted in various places, and I wonder if you could gather your notes together in one place, that is, report it all here ?
