After nearly a year of being handled only a couple of times after taking my initial pictures of it, I broke down and did it....
My fiance's employer was the corporate sponsor for a fundraising event for the University here in town, so we were one of 4 couples picked to go to a black tie event, and I had an important decision to make--
What flashlight do I bring to rub elbows with the movers and shakers?
I knew I'd carry 2, I usually do, something tiny and a bigger main light, nothing crazy though. My Fiance just laughed when I told her I needed to pick a light to carry for the evening, but she understands. After a few minutes thought, I made my decision. I opened the wood box, and slipped my Surefire E1B (#0062) and the Surefire Pen from my 30th anniversary gift set in my pocket. I figured, if I was already all dressed up, I might as well have the gear to match! As my backup, I dropped the beautiful little Revo SS in my pocket, and my assisted Kershaw in my other pocket. :)
I didn't get a chance to jump into action with the light, no catastrophic power failures or zombie uprising, but I DID put the pen to good use a few times during the silent auction. They had pens laid out at all the fancy-pants table, but I took silent joy in the use of my limited edition pen.
So, the gift set isn't new anymore, but it made it's first outing in style! haha couldn't help but share! Thanks for reading! Justin
