Hauled out my H60w tonight, began strobeing at irregular intervals.

Tried a battery change, no difference. Its all over the place.

Don't know what to do at this point. NOT happy. One of my most used lights. Don't even know what to replace it with.

I'm sure you've tried already, but.... a good cleaning, contact conditioner, and lube?

If it is toast, you could always get another one. I just recently got one from the marketplace for a great price. Brand new too. I think the seller still has more...

I bought it too long ago. I got it from Goinggear.com probably right around a year and a half ago. MAYBE two years.

is this normal for this light?

what did you actually end up doing with this situation?

Sent the light back. Shipped for just under 4 bucks. Question is, will I actually get it back.

I didn't have much choice. I was contacted back by them and told I'd have to send it to China. Not happy about it but not much I can do. I'm lost without my H60.

My SC51w has been gone 7 weeks tomorrow and they haven't even got it in china yet.. My H501w did get back eventually though.

Did you send it to TX for them to send it to China, or did you have to send it directly to China yourself? The one time I had a lens crack and I sent it to TX.
Warranty/repair is the one thing they need to work on.

I just got my H60 back about two weeks ago from a cracked lense repair. Sent out second week of February. I sent it to Texas, they sent it to China, but it took over three weeks and a second case ticket to find out that that was why I had not gotten it back - I was worried they had not received it. So over two and a half months for me. And worst of all, they got the switch boot crooked on re-assembly and left tool marks on the body next to the switch opening. I figured waiting for it to go back to the factory where it was made it should have been re-assembled as well as it was when it was new. But it works fine now, and Lillian did give me a discount on an SC60w as compensation, so I am not really complaining (much). I just hope the lense does not crack while sitting on a shelf again!

I so wish that 4sevens would release a light with the same ergos and reflectorless design of the H60 in choice of tint. I'm sure it would be supremely superior to ZL with far better customer service.

I know its been said many times already but felt it needed to be said again.

Got it back yesterday. Been using the heck out of it tonight.

Has the newer pressed in switch. One thing I noticed that I hadn't before is that the head of the light is getting VERY warm on high (not turbo) after what I think of as a short amount of time.

Maybe my memory is bad bit I've used this light for lengthy (6 hours or more) night hikes. I really don't remember it getting this tasty unless I was using turbo.

Anyway, while I'm glad I bought the fenix headland, it doesn't come close to the utility or overall usefulness of my ZL.

BirdofPrey, thanks for following up. I have a two year old H501w but it is out of warranty.

Mine was out of warranty as well. They didn't even ask any questions. Just told me to send it back and pay for shipping. They fixed the switch and sent it back.
