finding a battery?

ok, so far i've stopped buying, i buy a set and find a post stating bad, test the things and yes theyre bad.

so..

can any one spit it out for me? whats best to worste?

18650's and AA's..

Each are good for their own applications. If you want to be lazy, buy Eneloop NiMH AAs and a decent charger. Use the cells in 2-AA lights and keep pairs together. Avoid draining them completely empty when you can.

2AA stuf isnt a problem tbh, looking for higher ampage so the volts usualy up a little, is it narmal for the NiMh to have a charged voltage of 1.4v for 2400mah? new from the pack. (i get 1.7 out of my NiCads..not for long though).

yes, ~1.40-1.43V off the charge is typical for NiMh, and they'll settle around 1.35ish if sitting around for several days waiting to be used. 0.9V under load /1.2V at rest means they're fully depleted.
