First Build; Need Help

First I'm lost on most of the machined parts and names of different flashlight bodies.

I'm trying to build a home for a Cree XP-G that's compact and lightweight relative to the 18650 cell.

I've got a 26.5 mm reflector (here) that comes threaded to screw onto a body of about 20 mm aluminum tube.

Main question is what can I use for the body?

(this doesn't need to be super tough--simple and light weight is most important)

That is the reflector for a P60 drop-in. It doesn't thread onto a flashlight body, it threads on to a brass or aluminum slug that holds the driver board. Then the assembly "drops in" to the flashlight host. Do an image search for "P60 dropin" and look at this thread, P60 sized led drop-ins. That will show you how the parts go together


There is also a list of P60 Flashlight hosts. You'll also need a driver - circuit board - this is a post with a list of driver boards. That should keep you reading for a while. There are a lot of permutations and combinations.
