Hi folks, I'm brand new to flashlight tech. I'm looking for an EDC flashlight to carry in my pocket (pocket clip sounds great) The Fenix PD35 looks like a decent option. Thoughts? Advice?

The PD35 is probably really nice. I have the PD32 UE and am really happy with it as my main EDC. However, make sure you read up on 18650 batteries and safety, and definitely get a good charger if you don't already have one. Those batteries really pack a punch and you want to be smart about using them.

I also have the PD32 UE and am very happy with it. It is a really nice size and the performance is excellent. I second the comment about the batteries - make sure you know what you are doing and have proper respect for them.

I have both the PD32UE and the PD35. I love both of them. The PD32UE gives nice color rendition and wide hotspot. The PD35 is slightly brighter and cooler in tint in comparison to the PD32UE with a slightly smaller hotspot (not small in comparison to most of my other lights though). I think either would be great.

To re-iterate caution, yes, read up on batteries. Keep in mind that the max lumen does step down for heat protection on both lights.

Might try using the checklist in the sticky at the top. Seems to help a lot of people. Although, I'm a newb here, so take that for what it's worth. :D
