Hi Guys. I need expert help.
I did some fly fishing last week at dusk into dark and the need for a headlamp became apparent.
I got into a situation where I couldn't see the fly in the fish and needed to retrieve it quickly. It was a struggle in the dark and probably resulted in the death of a nice big brown trout.
I carry a Surefire 6px pro which is a great light for hiking (with a 10' rod in the dark), but I need a headlamp.
I like the Minimus, but it is a bit pricey. I like the design of the zebralight, but I don't see the difference in their lights and their website sucks.
Any thoughts? I need something for light hiking, hook removal, and knot-tying of extremely fine monofilament. I like the idea of a red filter, but that is just wish-list; I don't really care about batteries AAA/AA/123a would be best. Whatever lasts the longest sitting in a bag.
Thanks for your help.
