I have been a long time lurker. I have a large collection of lights from maglights to Surefires(6-9's and E2D's). M96 series etc.

I have not been able to find a LED head for my Ultra stinger's, maybe one day.

Then one day I found a link to dealextreme here. I would just go buy a single 123A light or a 2 cell primary, not knowing a P4 from a whatever. Then I found shining beam.

Now I have a collection of god knows what.

SOOO.. now I need a drop LED for my E2D and the 6-p or the Brinkman clone. All the ones are very confusing. I want bright and depenable. I have lots of 123's from battery station/junction and surefire.

Also can you guys help find me a 200 plus lumens LED with 2 primary 123's as power source for under $75.00? A flashlight war at work has been started, so now the lumens winners is a guy with a 190~ish he got from lowes. from what I have read there are drop-ins that would smoke the 200 lumen level.

With all the dealextreme lights I have, I have bodies with a tail clicky I could use as a donor body. So, a drop in at a good price, or complete light?

And all along I thought ARFCOM and black rifles where addictive.

Thanks in advance for helping the newb. And yes I searched, thus more confusion.

As far as drop-ins go, I have to recommend Malkoff. That will work at least with the 6P and possibly with the Brinkmann depending on which one. He makes some of the absolute best drop-ins on the market currently and you even get to choose your ideal balance between beam shape, brightness, and runtime.

I recently had a chance to review the Elzetta ZFL-M60 which uses the standard Malkoff M60. Wow. That is one nice little unit.

So, can I get into the 400-700 lumen range for $100-125? I want to use 123's as I have tons of them. But I would buy a combo with charger if needed.

So much to look at, and drool over. The Fenix TK-40?(the big bright one) is calling me.

What about this one

MG PLI Cree MC-E 700

seemed to have a good review?

Under $75 maybe try a Fenix PD30 or EagleTac T100C2.

They only out about 200 or less lumens, there wouldn't be a noticeable difference.

Agreed with the poster above, you need a 300 minimum lumen output to be noticeably brighter.
Why not just go for the best and get the 600 lumen lights?
Fenix TK40, Eagletac M2XC4 or Olight M30.

Ordered the MG PLI Cree MC-E 700 from shiningbeam. Will see how that one works for me. Thanks for the help.
