Hey all. I've been doing a lot of searching for the next "perfect" light, and someone linked a wonderful resource with tons of lights and beamshots all very well done. http://fonarevka.ru/indexen.html is absolutely great, but of course there are a lot of lights not included. I know I have seen at least one or two other similar resources, but I can't seem to find them in my history and of course failed to bookmark them right away :ohgeez:

I'm looking for any links to pictures of 'out in the world type' beamshots. White wall shots don't do anything for me at all. I have poured through the light reviews site, but those of course are white wall shots. The rest of the information, however, is very detailed yet concise so I'm glad to have it on my list. I have looked through the reviews section here (one might even call it selfbuilt's section:whistle:) and there is some good stuff there too.

So, what else am I missing?

Here's my accumulated list:

Some threads currently incomplete due to CPF crash, esp the latter ones above (except the last one).

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar:twothumbs

I think you're right about the crash issue. I've done quite a few searches, but things have probably gotten shifted around a bit even if they weren't completely lost. I especially liked mvyrmnd's beamshots as for me that's usually the farthest I need a light to throw. I like a big fat wall O' light! I've been looking into nailbender's P60 drop ins and thinking about an MC-E or SST-50 and his custom Dual XP-G R5 bin Linger special caught my eye. Lots of flood and I love the tint of the R5. Now I need to find a cheap host I like...

Great links you guys have posted! I really liked your beamshots DimeRazorback, and found EV_007's useful as well. I'll probably try my hand at some beamshots eventually but right now my meager collection is pitiful. I think the next lights I buy will be legoed together with solarforce parts and Nailbender drop-ins.

That was the one I linked. ;) It's an especially useful thread for incan fans; I've referenced that thread more times than I can count.

Oops...I double an triple checked it against that big list that cistallus posted but somehow skipped right over your post.
Yes, I agree; for incandescents, it is one fo the best beamshot comparisons on here. I can't count the number of times I've referenced it.

Hey thanks guys for the props on my beamshots. Now I'm inspired to update it with newer LED lights.

I'm also thinking of trying my hand at doing video comparison clips if interest is expressed. HDSLR cameras are starting to allow for good low light videos. Better than most camcorders.

I'd add it to my flickr and YouTube site posted alongside my photo equipment reviews and tips.

More beamshots would be great. I like the idea of video clips too.
