Seriously, don't look directly into a strong flashlight beam especially at close range...you CAN do serious damage. If the light is strong ENOUGH, you CAN be permanently blinded for example. Maybe not with a Fenix, but if its a Night Sword, well, even shining it into your mouth might kill you.
Actually, what I said goes for all LED lights on the market so far (except specialized UV LEDs) and regular household bulbs (I'm not touching the supposed energy saving bulbs with a 10 foot pole for every single other reasons, but they
should not harm your eyes more than a regular neon light).
Don't EVER look into an HID or arc lamp. Those emit a LOT of UV (especially arc lamps) and CAN do damage. I remember a picture of one of the custom builders who had a sunburn on his arm from just checking if his new arc lamp worked fine for like a second.
