Mine works just as well as on the day I got it...a nice late summer afternoon - it just started to get dark :naughty::D
What can I say - I wouldn't regret buying it again, even though the Q2 admittedly is not the newest LED.
Nice throw, very nice tint and tough as a tank.

I dropped it a half dozen times on concrete from 3-7 feet. Went for a walk and chucked the thing as far a I could, onto gravel. Threw it down onto gravel, chucked it against a tree, jumped on it and the thing never gave in.

Thanks to this thread. I was thinking of acquiring a flashlight as a gift for someone residing in a remote island here in Singapore. He not being a flashaholic once commented that he found the cool whites on LED very limiting when used in the jungle. He prefers incand. He is in his mid 60s and is no longer working so I wanted to get a light that runs on AA and probably some eneloops to go with it as I figured CR123 would be quite expensive and impossible to find on the island.
Been searching for months on what I could buy for him and totally forgot about TK20. This is probably the best suggestion I could get. AA cells, warm white LED that can replicate incand a little, tough for outdoor usage, and reasonably priced. :thumbsup:

I figured that was the worst possible treatment one could expect to give any light in real life. I mean, are you ever really going to drive over it with a tank?
The Dereelight Javelin is also a good alternative. I have never given mine the torture test described above, so I can not guarantee it will take it if that is a main point. I like my Javelin far to much to do that. The Javelin is a very elegant light with good throw.

That brings up another good point about the Fenix TK20 that often is overlooked. The rubber grip on the body is really nice and it feels good, especially for older people that may not have very strong hands any more. It's also great for any age hands during the winter when the temperature drops. Aluminum bodied flashlights get really cold outside! I held a TK20 before and it felt really good.
I've been thinking about adding a TK20 to my collection too.

O I'm not done yet. Once they re-open Mt. Beerwah, I'm going to roll it down the side.

Is that a replacement for the TK20? Still available in warm white and AA?
The TK21 looks much better in my opinion. It's more floody. Hope the runtime is longer as the output is about the same but it should use a newer emitter. Here is a good thread about it.
