I decided I needed a decent flashlight and started doing some research. I didn't know how complicated it would be! I found this forum and it's been very helpful for reviews and other research. I still don't understand all there is to know about modding and all the different parts that can be upgraded, etc but for now I just need a stock flashlight.
I have found the following three flashlights that seem to fit what I'm looking for: Wolf Eyes Defender D2A Cree R5 XP-G, Wolf Eyes Sniper 6A Cree R5 XP-G, or Streamlight Stinger LED HP C4 LE. I have seen only good things about the Streamlight flashlight, and have seen good things about the WE lights as well but not specifically either of those models. I believe the Defender and Sniper are the same except for the bezel on the Defender?
The criteria I was considering is a budget of up to ~$100 and has to be rechargeable. I don't care about size (I know the WE lights are pocket size and the Streamlight is much larger). I want something that has a high setting of at least 200 lumen. I know the WE lights are listed at up to 450 lumen so they would seem much brighter but I'm not sure where that is measured (at the emitter?) to skew the numbers and make them seem brighter than they actually are.
So what are you guys' thoughts? Thanks so much in advanced for the help!
