Hi!
I'm looking for a "thrower" flashlight to supplement the Surefire Maximus headlamp, which has a wide area beam which I find very useful for close up work. The features the Maximus has that I really want in a hand held are the adjustable brightness and 500 lumens max. I also like that its a self contained unit with a plug in recharger and power level indicator.
I'd like to hear some recommendations for a flashlight in the same $200 or less price range with these features, but a concentrated spot beam. I'll be using it for outdoor all weather electronic/electrical maintenance work. Some equipment is up on masts 40+ feet high, would like to get light on them for visual check before climbing, and want to keep my gear to a minimum of the headlamp and the hand held, (plus a small emergency backup). Many thanks!
Dave
