Hi all. I'm looking for a flashlight that would come with a diffuser to convert to full flood mode. I'd like it to be attached to the light all the time, the back end for example or somewhere inside the case as opposed to a separate diffuser that would probably go missing when needed and be lying around and getting in the way when not needed.
1) How would you prefer to purchase the light?
online
2) Budget: An easy question, but you may change your mind after answering the rest! :-)
i'd say $60. Maybe a bit more.
3) Format: flashlight
4) Size: small 3-6 inches
5) Emitter/Light source: LED
6) Manufacturer:
_x___I want to buy a light from a large/traditional manufacturer that is ready to go out of the box.
7) What power source do you want to use?
Standard recargeable AA/AAA batteries
8) How much genuine out the front (OTF) light do you want/need? Sometimes you can have too much light (trying to read up close up with a 100 lumen light is not a happy experience).
Not sure really. I want a standard versatile flashlight. That would be good in a dark room and not be useless outside. Variable output would be nice I guess.
9) Flood vs Throw: Flood covers an area, Throw reaches out to a distance.
Again, something normal and versatile. Wide throw I guess.
I'll say up to 30m
10) Runtime: Not over-inflated manufacturer runtime claims, but usable brightness measured from first activation to 50% with new batteries (Measured on maximum continuous output).
More is better, but I'd hope for a couple of hours at least.
11) Durability/Usage: Generally the old phrase “you get what you pay for” is very accurate for flashlights.
Best I can get for the money.
12) Switch Size, Type, and location (choose all that apply):
Don't care
13) User Interface (UI) and mode selection. Select all that apply.
Don't care
14)Material/Finish/Coating
Don't care
15) Water resistance
Would love it to work under water.
17) Special Needs/extras: Is there anything else you want or need that hasn't been mentioned? Select any/all below.
