Hi.

I'm curious as to why i'm getting a "content blocked" at flashlightreviews?

Perhaps it's closed for the hollidays or an update.

However blocked content is *very* odd choice of words advisory for being offline or being updated.

Hi Spirit,

As an FYI, I just now tried accessing the site and experienced no problems.

I wish I could be more of service, but I hope that this info might help out to a degree.

John

Perhaps your browser has some kind of popup blocker that detects popups on the site? What browser do you use? Not to get off subject, but Mozilla FireFox OWNS internet explorer. Who else uses FireFox?

Working fine for me ?

Try clearing your internet history

I use FireFox/mozilla.
Is it the new browser from Netscape?

I like it a LOT better but was curious if it uses more resources to run than IE?

I just installed this Hack to make it faster with a broadband cable connection.

forevergeek.com has a useful guide on speeding up firefox for broadband users. basically after getting to the hidden config settings you set the browser to request more data that it usually does.

1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages MUCH faster now!

Sorry for the hijack /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm guessing that i didn't get the update, Or some one at yahoo mail has blocked CPF/FLR again!

Again

Many thanks.

P.S> This also menas that a-lot of web pages are going to have a ball resetting thier FLR links.

Thanks for clearing that up, everyone. My apologies for not finding this thread earlier.

If anyone has an issue getting to my site, please send an e-mail to mail (at symbol) flashlightreviews.com.

You bet! But at least I'm not piggybacking on AT&T's servers and spreading the site over 4 different servers now! FLR is now at it's permanent (for the forseeable future) home. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
