Hi,
I've been trawling thru endless threads and have been overwhelmed by choice lol. I recently bought an AAA X2000 from DX just to see what it was like and then dropped a Q5 in it. I'm impressed by how bright and compact it is. The torch isn't of the highest quality tho and the tiny spring in the switch has now failed because of the current being drawn thru it. :shakehead
So, is there a better built but not too expensive torch out there I can fit a 28mm aspheric lens to and end up with something similiar to the X2000? I've read that P60 dropin torches may be suitable but don't know which ones are focasable?
I just want High, Mid, Low with no strobe or just high/low. AA's as I already have some Nimh and a charger. In an ideal world it would also have spare tailcaps available so I could fit a remote pressure switch and be of a standard head size so I could fit a red filter.
It sounds like a lot to ask but I'm new to all this, any suggestions welcome :)
