Now including a custom-made Cree XR-E P4 can with FluPIC installed - get low, med, high, strobe, SOS, with almost 3x the output - floody characteristic still, with a brighter, wide hotspot. Take the whole thing for $180 (Maroon Ion, Cree can - $9 for cree, $20 for FluPic alone, and original can)!

I think there is only one clip that you have to take out, I used a screw driver, and with the clip out of place the can falls out.

Interesting... mcmc, I've VERY highly interested.. however I'd like to see some pictures please. Is this possible? I'd also be curious if you have ever installed this can or not and if you have pictures showing the difference in beams between original and new can.

Hi pcmike! Thanks for the interest! The light actually has the can currently installed, and you can swap them two ways: the easier way is to unscrew the bezel itself off the head, and the other way is to remove the retaining ring that circumscribes the 'pogo stick' 2-stage mechanism. The original can will be shipped separately with the light, in case you ever want to go back =) Pm inbound.
