Forward click tailcap?

hi all,
I have a T&T T6 flashlight. I decided to replace the dropin with a Thrunite 300lm, 3 modes.
It is great but not perfectly compatible with the T&T switch.
I am considering the idea to adopt a tailcap without the strobo mode that creates several problems in cycling through the 3 modes (it introduces false clicks).

May you suggest me where and what to buy?

I have found a couple of tailcaps on DX but they seem not to be forward clicks. AM I right in looking for a forward click cap?
thanks

The strobe mode is probably built into the driver circuit, not the tailcap, so in all likelihood that came along with the new drop-in.

As for whether a forward clickie is is "right" or not depends on your preference and/or needs. I personally prefer reverse clickies, since most forward clickies require a twist or some other secondary motion to make them stay on. They're great for momentary use, but a pain for anything else IMO, and my "momentary" needs are few.

Forward click tailcaps mean that you have to cycle through the modes before you fully turn on the light vs. how a reverse click tailcap works. I'm not familiar w/ the T&T T6, if its SureFire "C" thread compatible then you can use a SolarForce forward click tailcap.

You're describing a momentary+twisty. A FW clicky is press a little for momentary, push more for constant. Twisty here only applies with lockout, same as a rev clicky.

Hi,
I am still a newbie but this is the third drop-in I experiment on this flashlight and all exhibited the strobo mode when pressing the tailcap button for more than 1 second. For this reason I was thinking this feature was due to the button.
Moreover, it is almost impossible to cycle among the 3 modes of the thrunite drop.in. I continuously have false clicks and step over some of the modes.

I am indeed. Sorry for the confusion.

The only problem I have had cycling through modes on a Thrunite is if the battery is low. I don't think your issues relate to the tailswitch at all, maybe you have a bad battery or the dropin is not matched to the voltage you are using. Check and make sure your battery matches what your dropin needs. And as Mike mentioned above, the strobe mode is a function of the Thrunite, not the switch.

I use rechargeable CR123. Fully charged before trying.
I will unmount the dropin in order to see if it supports the correct voltage

I just received this tailcap (Spiderfire). Now all problems are solved and I can definitely say that the strobo mode was caused by the cap, not the dropin. In fact, now it's gone and I can easily cycle among the 3 modes of my thrunite dropin. Great!
