What takes the cake for the furthest throwing multi- 18650 light out there? No custom lights please. Thanks!
 
i dont know what the best is but i sure like my ultrafire 1800
 
Forgive my ignorance, but that will throw further and brighter than the TK70?

that is the new official throw king it is a modded thrunite tn31 and has alot of added goodies if you want the best 18650 thrower well thats the one and it was just released yesterday.

It doesnt specify how many yards or meters though. I'm trying to compare it to others.
 
well over 850 yard but i will try to get an exact amount because im curious too.

ok i did my calculations and it 979.79 meters, wow i was off by alot lol.

candela is the same a lux because candela is lux*distance squared and the distance is one so lux=candela

Technically isn't the Olight SR-95UT's battery pack made up of 18650s?:devil:
 
yes it is but the modded thrunite tn31 from saabluster (he also made the DEFT-edc line of lights too) is the farthest throwing now questions asked. It smokes Olight SR-95UT. The olight is 198,000 lux and the modded thrunite tn31 from saabluster is 240,000 lux!

sorry my take away from custom was like a host and some drop-in kinda thing its just the best throwing light.
 
I guess technically it's custom, but since they are available in quantity, to anyone with the $, I wouldn't really say it's custom, just modified.
I want one real bad, but the price is a little high. Not for what you get. I know it's worth it, it's just my budget at the moment.

Exactly thats why i plan on getting the new Crelant 7G5CS with the aspherical head or the modded FandyFire which are both reasonable.
 
i would rather want to know what light will provide the most lux at the determined distance i needed.
Throwing longer doesnt translate to seeing more.

Anyway the jetbeam bc40 throws very well and costs $70.

A Crelant 7G5 V2 will out-throw the BC40 EASILY, and costs only $65.99 at MD-Lightsource. This is real STEAL.

We got ours when it just came out for almost 90 bucks.

Get it while its still available.

Haha! 240k WTF Lux! hehehe :) Smokes anything out there (non-HID of course) I hope they mod the Olight SR-95UT too, maybe bring it up to the 400k lux range. Or add an aspheric lens to the TN31, might make it look like a thick laser light pointer. haha...

wait for the reviews on the 7G5CS before you decide.

114k lux on the fandyfire is hard to ignore.

FYI, the 7G5V2 with aspheric maxes at about 90k+ lux and has no spill(48k+ lux with reflector), while the fandyfire has 114k lux and uses a reflector, that's some bad-*** throw! If we do a ratio and proportion, the fandy fire would be like 213k lux if it had an aspheric lens. OMG lux! :) hehehe...
