Has anybody installed a UCL in their G2X or 6PX (assuming they are the same)?

My plastic G2X lens was a bit cloudy when I got it and it seems to get scratched up just sitting in my bag

I'm wondering if it's the same diameter as a standard G2, and what thickness will work, 1.83 and/or 2.84mm. Some G2s only supported the thinner lens, but will the G2X support the thicker one?

Edit: Is this tool compatible with the current bezel ring? It looks the same.

Before I sold my G2X Pro I had been given a UCL for a Solarforce and I found that it fit my G2XP almost perfectly. The glass was a hair too thin and I needed to crank down on the bezel ring to get it to not rattle, but, it did fit. Take a look at the 6PX/G2X thread for a posting from me about this. The size is 26.8 X 1.85mm, IIRC.

That tool should work for you. If you take your bezel ring off and find that the ring has a step that the lens sits in then it'll work for you.

Could you send the link to the thread you refer to please. I could not locate it. Please send it to me email address shown below. Thanks!

PS: I found the thread maybe 10 seconds after sending my prior message.
