Edit:
I received this headlamp, so I figured I'd post a short review.

Headlamp has cheap, but serviceable construction. I can imagine it would break if you dropped it too many times, but it's not too bad overall, just typical cheap china stuff you would find at big box stores. It's not too heavy and is fairly comfortable to wear, but the

Fairly bright, plastic lenses focus to make a decent thrower, but has ugly and extremely weak spill. I am 90% sure this light is unregulated, so it will dim over time. With fresh batteries(and these are total guesses based on other lights):
high - 60 lm
low - 30 lm
red - 2 lm

No clue on battery life, but with 3 AAA's and 3 Nichia LEDs, it should be OK, but I'm sure that the dimming output will hurt it. Also, the LEDs appear to have a square emitter, so that plus the packaging (2X Brighter) I think these are one generation behind the current Nichias.

Hi,

Does anyone recognize this headlamp? It is available as a free prize from my healthcare provider, and they do not identify the brand. If anyone can identify it as something other than a piece of junk, I might get it over the SAK Classic they are also offering ;)

Thanks!

Re: Can anyone identify this headlamp for me?

It's a Garrity Super LED headlamp.

I don't know anything about that particular, but I do have a Garrity Superbrite that I really like. These are relatively inexpensive and low quality lights that would work well as backups or for casual use.

Both the headlamp and SAK run about $12 so I'd go with whichever you want more. Price or quality aren't really factors.

Upon some inspection of the package, it appears to use 3 Nichia GS's. If that's the case... not bad at all for a 10 buck light.

Thanks Ajax!
