I think anything on the scale of the discovery of perpetual motion would be announced world-wide.

Nice idea for a desktop toy though.

I did not mean to get into semantics here. When properly developed and set into motion, this device will remain in motion until stopped by an outside source, potentially even creating surplus energy while in operation...but of course this is not "perpetual motion"...
