That operation has been going on for months, and we're still getting more and more spam. Ah, well... at least it feels like your doing something.

Where does all this money go? To Overature.com. Who is really behind this campaign and what is their real motive? I don't know, but if I wanted to find out I would start by following the money.

Well, spambattle is registered in Australia, Overture is registered to goto.com, the other useless pay per click search engine.

Personally never seen the point in pay per click search engines, it dosen`t take Einstein to work out that they offer a highly skewed search result, frankly they`re totally useless.

So as long as the cash leaves the spammers and spam harvesters hands and goes elsewhere I`m happy.Clicking on the top 5 hits for `bulk email` on overture, gives overture about $20 U.S. and costs the spammers $20.

It may indeed be the only way that another dot bomb like goto.com is ever going to make any money, search used to mean AltaVista, then Google came along and cleaned up, never used Goto for anything but looking for good metatag keywords for real search engines.

Google may however not be as friendly as it appears.......
