Gift Wrap?

What do you think? Would a significant number of you want the ability to add gift wrap to your order for $3?

I would make use of the service on occasion as I have given away a few Arcs over the last 3 months and plan to give some more as gifts in the future.

If I were ordering them as gifts, I would take advantage of it. I gave my brother an AAA for his birthday and had to wrap it in a shoebox. That's fun for throwing people off and keeping them from guessing what it is, but I would have ordered it wrapped if I could.

not me. unless it was some cool "Arc Flashlight L.L.C." paper. otherwise i could do it myself.
were i ever to have a light shipped directly to the gift recipient id probably take advantage of it. that rarely happens.

I always appreciate retailers that give the choice . . . makes it much easier to do gift giving. I've used the service frequently at Amazon and Land's End, for example.

And 3 bucks is a good deal.

Peter - I think it is a nice service but I haven't generally used gift wrapping from others when purchasing their products, so I would probably not be a big user.

OK, Merri has bought all the gift wrapping material and is really wanting to practice her skills.

So, I added the gift wrap option to our website for $3. Here's how you can use it:

Add the gift item to your cart, include the gift wrap option, make sure you remember to use the recepient's shipping address instead of your own and send the order.

Use one gift wrap charge for each person. If you are sending multiple items to the same lucky person, you only need one gift wrap charge.

If you are sending gifts to multiple adresses, it would be easier for Merri if you seperated them so that you have one address per order number.

I think gift wrap is a great idea. Sending a mailed gift in a ziplock bag or plastic bubble doesn't give the impression of a gift very well.

Of course, if someone sent me an Arc as a gift, I wouldn't care what the packaging was like. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oppps. I somehow missed this thread. No gift wrapping for me. Anyone worthy of getting an ARC-LS from me is going to go thru the entire experience, including the ziplock packaging.

FYI, if you're at all wrapping-impaired like I am, I'd highly recommend getting the wrapping. The three sets of foot-in-the-door packages I ordered as Christmas gifts have just arrived, and everything is nicely boxed and wrapped--it's miles better than anything I coulda done myself.
