GlowBug\'s OMBU line

I have been reading the various posts on here about Q-IIIs (mine is supposed to arrive 12/24). I pondered for a while between the Q-III and the OMBU X-11 on GlowBug. I didn't ask then because both wasn't going to be an option within my defined gift budget, so I opted for the cheaper Q-III and a Shasta from Peak.
Now, as I look into future purchases, I must admit a bit of curiosity about the price difference. They look like the same light; does anyone know about the differences? What about the X-33 or X-55, I rather like the idea of the two-stage switch. Also, as opposed to the mother of Q-III discussed in other threads, this switch looks to be tail mounted.
Does anyone have additional information on these lights?

thanks for all the other info provided on here

Re: GlowBug\'s OMBU line

I have an OMBU X-11 and a Q-III. Externally they are virtually identical.

The basic difference is that the Q-III is much brighter and cost half as much. I ordered the X-11 before getting the Q-III, otherwise I won't have wasted my money on the OMBU

Re: GlowBug\'s OMBU line

I have the Q-III and the OMBU X-33. The OMBU has more output but the beam is not as white as the Q-III. I did some nice reviews of the Ombu X-33 if you do a search /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: GlowBug\'s OMBU line

FYI-

The two-way switch on QIII's mother is also a tail button (same button as the QIII). Except of course it's: Push once - Low, Push twice - High, Push 3rd time - Off
