I've been following the Compact Florescent thread and while surfing at topbulb.com I came across this:
http://www.topbulb.com/find/Product_Description.asp_Q_intProductID_E_47158
It can't be that they have added some glow powerder to the phosphor? Or have they just used a different kind of phospor?
The text at the website is not very long, it just says that this lamp is ideal for places where it would be bad to loose light immediately in a power failure, like a mine or other place without windows as it continues to glow after switched off.
They don't say for how long or how brightly, but with all the interest in glowing things I thought folks might be interested. 9 watt, on sale right now for $16
If anyone is motivated to order one, please report back. I've spent all my money for the time being
