Those came as spheres. I cut and polished them to make the lens. If you need just a few, you can PM me.

Anyone have and idea of the projected runtime of a Luxeon AAA drawing the standard 400mA?

The run time is around 1.5h on 700mAh NiH batteries. Alkalines in bulk part would have the same performance (should be a little longer), but the brightness is not as good as with NiH. When the battery goes low, there will be a "moon mode" that can last quite longer.
